Whoop whoop!!!

The summer holidays are almost here.

Endless weeks stretching out.

With NO crazy morning school scarper.

Hurrah!!!

And nothing to bother about.

BUT …

entertaining our little darlings.

Who somehow got the idea.

It’s a crime.

Of epic proportions.

For them ever to be BORED.

And it’s OUR job.

To make sure they’re not.

And yep this IS nonsense.

BUT our little Londoners do get a bum deal.

In such a big city jammed with cars, they don’t get a whole heap of freedom to explore.

Or even play out on the street!

However on the PLUS side.

They DO live in the BEST city in the world.

With so much cool stuff on their doorstep.

AND AND AND … big AND …

Loads of it is actually FREE.

PLUS there’s bonus extras at the bottom.

BUT first things first …

… and that’s know your freebies …

1. Know Your Freebies

OK. So we all know.

Loads of fancy London trips cost a fortune.

BUT do you know?

How much cool FREE stuff there is to do?

And I don’t just mean the Science Museum.

And the dinosaurs in the Natural History.

In this list of 101 Free Days Out In London With Kids you’ll find museums you’ve never heard of PLUS history, wildlife, planes, music, food AND some very different dinosaurs …

2. Cool Down

Now. IF the forecasts are right.

This summer will be a scorcher.

SO you need places to cool down.

And luckily London still has 12 fabulous family friendly outdoor public pools.

This list of London Lidos will help you find NOT only your nearest but cool ones to dive into when you’re visiting other stuff.

So you could hit the Science Museum and THEN swim in the Serpentine. All in ONE day.

They’re obviously NOT free. But typically £20 for a family of four for as long as you want.

3. Run Wild

If it truly is HOT in London this summer.

THE other best place to be is our woods.

You say what? We’ve got woods? IN London?

We do indeed.

And I’m NOT talking a few trees here and there.

We’ve over 20,000 hectares of forest in London!

Perfect for running wild ALL day long.

AND it will cost you nothing more than getting there and back and a packed lunch.

Check out this list to discover London’s best woods to run wild in near you …

4. Go On A Big Adventure

Woods are winners for kids big AND small.

BUT older London kids do need some other BIG adventures over the summer.

Stuff to stretch them. Stuff to scare them. Stuff that pushes their own personal boundaries.

And I’ve got 50 BIG ideas for you here.

That will do just that.

There’s kayaking, night climbing, caving, fossil digging, wild camping & MUCH MORE.

And ALL in London!

Some of it IS pricey.

But there’s a simple solution. Get your kids to pay for themselves by selling their OLD clutter!

AND that truly is a double whammy – kids entertained AND a decluttered house!

5. Ride In Style

When you’re under five.

NOTHING quite beats a steam train does it?

And luckily for Thomas the Tank Engine fans London HAS a whole bunch of steam trains.

6. Escape The Crowds

London’s BIG museums take some beating.

Don’t they?

BUT they get seriously rammed.

Especially in the summer.

So you need to know about these little gems.

They’re off the beaten track.

But BRILLIANT! And free.

7. Get Grand

At the other end of the scale.

London is awash with massive mansions.

Over 30 are open to the public across the city.

And most have big grounds so you can combine a splash of culture WITH a good old run around outside.

8. Little & Lovely

In my experience.

Little Londoners love a good adventure.

BUT for little legs it’s better NOT too big.

And there are over 50 little London adventures in this lovely list.

9. Pick & Mix

There’s so much new fancy stuff in London.

BUT kids are more old fashioned than we think.

And have the best fun ever doing what London kids used to do ALL summer long.

Yep. Fruit picking.

From June on London’s very own pick-your-own farms are busting with berries.

And before summer’s out the apples are in.

So this year.

Be a real Londoner and go picking 🙂

10. Hit The Best Beaches

Finally.

One more summer must-do for Londoners.

AND that is to hit the beach.

But with kids in tow forget Brighton’s stones.

It’s sand you want. And these fab sandy beaches are all just a day trip away.

So there you go.

EVERYTHING you need to plan a summer of fun in London with kids – enjoy!

BUT as promised a few extra bonus bits for you.
